Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of GlobePass services. They are written in plain English. Read them once, ask us anything that isn't clear.

1. Who we are

GlobePass Travel Documents Ltd. ("GlobePass," "we," "us," "our") is a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under License Number 85995, with its registered office at Building A1, Dubai Digital Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis.

We translate domestic driver's licenses into the languages of the 1949 and 1968 UN conventions on road traffic, and we deliver those translations as digital and printed International Driving Permits ("IDPs"). We are not a government agency, an automotive association, or an issuing authority. The translations we provide are recognised under international convention, not under domestic law in any single country.

2. The agreement between us

By placing an order on globepass.example, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, hold a valid domestic driver's license, and have read and accepted these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Legal Disclaimer.

An order is accepted when we send you a confirmation email containing the order number. Until then, no contract exists and we may refuse the order for any lawful reason (for example, an obvious typo on the uploaded license, fraud detection, or shipment to a jurisdiction where the IDP is not lawfully usable).

3. What you're buying

You are purchasing a translation document and (depending on your plan) a printed booklet and ID card. You are not purchasing a substitute for your domestic driver's license, a government-issued ID, or any form of authorisation to drive that you did not previously hold.

The validity period of your IDP runs from the date the digital permit is issued. It does not extend if the printed booklet is delayed in transit. It expires automatically if your underlying domestic license is suspended, revoked or expires.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in your selected currency at checkout, inclusive of VAT where applicable. Card payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and PayPal payments by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. We never see or store your full card details.

Discounts, promotional codes and bundles are non-transferable. Only one discount may apply per order unless we explicitly state otherwise on the offer's landing page.

5. Delivery and shipping

Digital permits are emailed in under 8 minutes (Express tier) or up to 2 hours (Standard tier). Printed booklets ship from Dubai by registered carrier; delivery typically takes 3 to 10 business days worldwide, with tracking provided. Detailed shipping information is in our Shipping Policy.

6. Refunds, replacements and guarantees

Within 24 hours of purchase, you may cancel and receive a full refund regardless of reason, provided no physical permit has yet shipped.

After 24 hours, refunds are governed by our acceptance guarantee, on-time delivery guarantee, and free-replacement promise — set out in full at /guarantees. All three are unconditional commitments; we will not require you to litigate them.

We may decline a refund only in cases of demonstrable fraud.

7. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for: (i) providing accurate information; (ii) carrying both your domestic license and IDP while driving abroad; (iii) complying with the road code of the country you are driving in; and (iv) ensuring you are legally permitted to operate the vehicle classes printed on your IDP.

GlobePass does not provide legal driving advice. Country-specific information on our site is informational only and may be out of date.

8. Intellectual property

The GlobePass name, logo, website design, and content are owned by GlobePass Travel Documents Ltd. You may not reproduce, redistribute or modify any part of the site without our written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use such as saving a country-guide page for an upcoming trip.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim related to your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, except where caused by our gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or fraud, and except where applicable consumer law provides a higher threshold.

We are not liable for losses caused by: (i) a country's refusal to recognise the IDP despite UN convention obligations; (ii) the actions of border or rental staff exceeding their lawful authority; (iii) your own breach of road rules abroad; or (iv) events beyond our reasonable control.

10. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, with the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts having non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Australia, nothing in this clause restricts the protections afforded to you under your local consumer law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Material changes are emailed to active customers in advance. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
